About Me
Hello and Welcome!

You have found your way here for a reason. That reason is that you are READY to embark on a new and rewarding chapter of your life. If you are willing to be teachable and accountable, then you will stay the course and reach your goals! I will support you through it!

Now… a little about me. I grew up in a small town and had a hankering to catch the next bus out of town from about the 8th grade onward. I had many accomplishments in my early years as a public speaker, workshop leader, and many other leadership positions. I wanted to go to school but needed to work. I really had no idea what to do with my passion for people.
Later as a college student, I took a job working with children that had experienced trauma. I knew somehow that helping the hurting was a calling. I worked my way through school because my parents instilled in me a very strong work ethic. I could have been done earlier had I been willing to go into debt at a young age. But interestingly, that would have likely changed the trajectory of my life, and I would not have met the love of my life if I had.

I knew I was designed with a heart that was tender toward others, and that I was raised with wisdom and had gathered some insight that might be usable in my aspirations to help others.

I am a marriage and family therapist, who went back to school later in life after raising my three daughters with my husband. I attempted many times to complete my education and professional goals prior to their leaving, but alas, I chose many times over to suspend my schooling and my professional pursuits until later to stay the course with my most important job. For me and my loved ones, I believe it was right. I am aware it does not fit into the mold of success story formulas. Many times, life is not quite that cookie-cutter. No regrets here.

I am one of 7 children. My parents were often singing, often busy, and often laughing. They taught us how to love fiercely, and how to hold a positive attitude when the challenges were big. They had a can-do attitude, in spite of a limited education, and limited resources. They taught us to be deliberate about our goals but to not lose sight of the most cherished things in life: quality time and memory-making with family and friends.
They had a profound effect on the way I have viewed my life- mostly the effect has been positive, but flawed people are also flawed parents. And I have been realizing that some of the mindsets they grew up with, have slowed my growth and impacted my decision-making in a negative way. But growing happens when you are ready and willing. So wherever you are in your life, do not regret one day of it. All life lessons can be stepping stones. Today is your day. If you put it off til next year, you will be a year older and no closer to your goal.
Let’s get started on YOUR goals.
